2015 SEP-FEP Joint Annual Conference: New Frontiers

3-5 September 2015

 

The Joint Annual Conference of the Society for European Philosophy and Forum for European Philosophy in 2015 will be hosted by the Scottish Centre for Continental Philosophy at the University of Dundee. Conference support is provided by the Scots Philosophical Association, the MIND Association, and the Dundee & Angus Convention Bureau.

The SEP/FEP conference is the largest annual event in Europe that aims to bring together researchers, teachers, and students from different disciplines, interested in all areas of contemporary European philosophy.

 Abstract proposals for papers and panels are invited in all areas of contemporary European philosophy. Submissions that address the conference’s plenary theme “New Frontiers” are particularly encouraged. Topics include but are not limited to anatheism, animality, aesthetics, antiaesthetics, communication, hermeneutics, philosophy of religion, post-continental-analytic thought, posthumanism, speculation and critique, technology and media.

 

Submission Instructions

Abstract proposals for individual papers should be no more than 500 words and include author and institutional affiliation.

 Panel proposals should include a brief panel description of no more than 100 words, with participant names and institutional affiliations, and a 500 word abstract for each paper within the panel.

Under the conditions of sponsorship by the Scots Philosophical Association, academics and students from Scottish Universities will have their registration fee waived.
